Catherine McClenahan – Bio

Catherine is an actor, singer, “move-weller” (including belly dancing), host, writer, and producer from Ottawa, Ontario. She has performed in numerous television, film and theatre productions in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles.

Catherine is the co-writer and co-star with Jennifer Edwards of 2 Blondes Don’t Make a Right, a comedy show currently on YouTube. Click here for all videos.

She originated the role of Carrie in the long running Toronto theatrical production of “Yuppies! The Musical,” co-hosted the morning radio show for WDRE in New York City, and was the first female VJ at MuchMusic in Canada.

Catherine McClenahanCatherine sings jazz, blues and standards, and has performed with the gospel group Vortex (Idylwild Jazz Festival, Sweet & Hot Music Festival) and the Champagne Trio. She opened for the Bangles at the Theatricum Botanicum, and performed regularly with SE James in the Scat Salon at Froggy’s and as a solo artist and with her daughter Hannah Fagerbakke at The Canyon Bistro in Topanga, CA.

Catherine and Hannah also perform with the group Love Party with singer/songwriter/creator Alison Freebairn-Smith.

She is a producer on the feature documentary film Under the Influen$e (undertheinfluencefilm.com) which examines the dismantling of American democracy by big money, global corporations, and private interests.

Catherine has also just finished writing her first book with a friend. Stitch Ripper is a whistle blower account of a harrowing 7 years in upper management of a large worldwide (evil!) corporation. Stay tuned!

Catherine volunteers for many organizations including the California Sheriff’s Department for her local Arson Watch, the Topanga Women’s Circle, the local Disaster Response Team, the Topanga Coalition For Emergency Preparedness, and she is her neighborhood network coordinator for T-CEP.

She has 2 amazingly perfect daughters with her wasband, actor Bill Fagerbakke.
